Common questions.

What are the days of the week in Amharic?

(Saturday).

How many months are there in Amharic?

Thirteen, because the Ethiopian calendar has twelve 30-day months and a short thirteenth month,

Why are some month names spelled two ways?

Older writing uses letters that sound the same today, so ኅዳር and ህዳር, or ታኅሣሥ and ታህሳስ, are the same month. Both spellings are understood.
